Cornhusker Nationals Trapshoot 1974

 

The 1974 edition of the Cornhusker Trapshoot had both a college and a high school championship. Dave Wells, who started what has become one of the largest high school trap shoots in the nation organized this shoot.

Frank Hoppe from UNL won the college division with a 197. Kansas State took the college championship with a 927 followed by UNL with an 875.

Wayne took the high school crown with a 771 and Allen won the girls championship with a 760.

Dave Sheer of Papillion won the high school division with a 174. The next year this would be called the Cornhusker Cup champion.

In December of 1974 the shoot gained some ground as it was recognized by the Nebraska State Activities Association.
